Why Human Engagement on LinkedIn Posts Drives More Views and Leads

Updated: Aug 18

You can create the best LinkedIn post in the world, packed with insights, written for your audience, paired with a great image, but if no one interacts with it, LinkedIn will not show it to many people.

That is because LinkedIn’s algorithm rewards engagement, not just quality. It is a platform built to surface content that sparks conversation and keeps people scrolling. The right engagement can multiply your reach two times, five times, or even ten times.

I learned so much about this in the Algorithm Insights 2025 Report by Richard van der Blom, my current favorite LinkedIn expert. It is 250 pages, but still an easy read.

So, what type of engagement matters most? And how can you leverage it without relying on luck?

Why Engagement Is the Fuel for LinkedIn Reach

When you publish a post, LinkedIn’s algorithm gives it a small “test” audience, often less than 10% of your followers. From there, it watches closely for signals:

  • Are people reacting within the first 90 minutes?

  • Are they leaving meaningful comments, not just quick “great post” notes?

  • Are they clicking “see more” to read your full post?

  • Are they sharing it with their network?

If the algorithm sees strong engagement early, it expands your post’s distribution, showing it to more people in your network and beyond. Weak engagement means the post quietly fades into obscurity.

Not All Engagement Is Equal

There is a hierarchy of engagement value in LinkedIn’s algorithm. Here is what drives the most impact, from highest to lowest:

  1. Meaningful Comments

Comments that add to the discussion, ask a question, or share a perspective are the strongest signal you can send. LinkedIn’s AI detects comment quality, so “Great post” will not cut it.

  2. Shares with Personal Insights

When someone shares your post and adds their own commentary, it creates a new conversation and often exposes you to a different network.

  3. Saves

When someone saves your post, LinkedIn interprets it as “I want to come back to this later,” which signals high value and usefulness. This action helps extend your post’s visibility over time because the algorithm considers it evergreen content worth resurfacing.

  4. Reactions (Likes, Celebrate, Insightful, etc.)

These are positive signals, but less powerful than comments or shares. They are still important, especially in volume.

  5. Click-throughs

Clicking “see more,” expanding an image, or following a link shows LinkedIn that your content is keeping attention.

Why Our Engagement Service For Group Blog Members Works

For years, we have seen members put time and effort into creating posts that deserve attention, but they struggle to break through the noise. The hardest part is often getting those first 10 to 20 meaningful interactions.

That is where our Human LinkedIn Post Interaction comes in.

You are already creating great content. We help you get it seen by more people. Our team interacts with your posts in authentic ways — likes, comments, and shares — to signal to LinkedIn that your content is worth showing to a wider audience. Every interaction is human, relevant, and designed to support your visibility goals.

The Compound Effect

When your posts get early, meaningful engagement, two things happen:

  1. LinkedIn shows your post to more people in your network and beyond.

  2. Other viewers are more likely to join in because people engage with content that already looks popular.

Over time, this compounds. Consistently well-performing posts train the algorithm to prioritize your content, so future posts start with an even bigger test audience.

How ERP Software Blog Engagement Boosts Your Reach Even Further

When ERP Software Blog comments on your post, there is an added layer of benefit:

  • Second-degree reach: Some of our followers may see your post in their feed with a note such as “ERP Software Blog commented on this,” which exposes you to a wider audience.

  • Algorithm boost: Our comment still counts as valuable engagement, helping push your post to more people.

  • Notification visibility: You, and anyone we tag in our comment, will receive notifications, which can draw more eyes to your post.

  • Brand credibility: Seeing a respected industry page engage with your content signals quality to others, making them more likely to read and interact.

The more thoughtful and relevant the comment, the more likely LinkedIn’s algorithm is to amplify your post. That is why we focus on meaningful interaction rather than generic responses.

The Bottom Line

LinkedIn engagement is not about gaming the system. It is about showing the algorithm that your content deserves attention. Strategic, human-driven interaction, combined with the visibility of a respected industry page like ERP Software Blog, gives your posts the momentum they need to be seen, discussed, and acted upon.

You are already creating content worth sharing. Let us make sure more people see it.
