How To: Decide if You Should Include Images in Your Posts
Some SEO consultants will tell you that you should always add images to your posts. We don’t agree. Use an image when it will add value to your article and grab people’s attention. Too many useless images do not add value and slow down your page load time.
Screenshots are generally a good idea to use as they can illustrate the point you are making about a specific software product.
We do recommend that you add a "Featured Image" to your post if you plan to share it on social media.
Tip: How To: Add a Featured Image to Your Blog Post
Be aware that the only safe images to use are ones that you create or purchase. This includes screenshots. It is NOT safe to use free images from the Internet. Even if they say they are “Free to Use,” there can be hidden restrictions that can result in copyright infringement fines.
These fines are a minimum of $750 per image, and per our membership agreement, your company is responsible for all the images and text you choose to publish on our site.
Tip: Be Able To Show Proof That You Licensed That Image
